ASANTE
Kente Style Cloth 5003
43" high x 80" long
$400
SOLD

This textile is very unusual and is shown here as a curiosity, not as a Kente cloth. It mimics the form and pattern of a Kente but is woven from cotton in two large pieces, different front and back, not strip-woven. It was purchased with other Kentes so it is probably from the Asante people. There is a noticeable stain on the back.
