BAMILEKE, Horn 3, 50.5", $1200, Cameroon
Trumpets, made from horn or carved from wood, were used ceremonially for their sound. Horns 3-4 can be purchased together for $2100.
Although exquisitly carved, most of our Bamileke horns show no evidence of age or use and were probably made to be sold.
