BENA BIOMBO STYLE
MASK 2
19" high x 9" wide x 11.5" deep
$500
SOLD

Despite its appearance this Bena Biombo mask was probably made to be sold.

Bena Biombo masks share characteristics with masks of the Kuba and Eastern Pende in form and in painted patterns. They are usually red and recognizable by the three short stubs on the top that refer to a hair style.  This mask is attached to a reed frame covered with a net of woven raffia.
