BURA
Fragment 4
7.5"h. x 6"w.
$ 250
Little is known of the Bura civilization (ca. 3rd - 11th centuries), first discovered in 1975, excavations began in 1983. Most of the objects dug up are terra cotta heads or vessels. The tall vessels were buried with the neck or opening down, usually contained remnants of cloth or objects probably associated with with funeral practices. They are discovered by digging down, hence the large number with broken tops. They remain fragile, hence this group of fragments.
When shown in the photos, the custom metal stands are included in the price. Measurements are the size of the fragment only.
