BANGALA, "Spear tip" currency, Dem. Rep. Congo.

These metal currencies have been vetted as authentic.

Made of heavy iron, with blunt edges, flared ends and a small bulb-like tip, they had no practical use, therefore good examples of "pure" currency, used as currency until the end of the 19th Century.
