DOGON
LADDER 10
88" high x 14.5" wide x 5.5" deep
$2500
SOLD
37 lbs. with 11" x 11" base

This ladder has been vetted as authentic. It has a wonderfully worn overall patina from exposure and use.

Ladders were used in a Dogon village to climb to the flat roof of a home, which was used for storage, living, and in appropriate weather, for sleeping. The ladders are a simple, abstract, intelligent use of materials.
