WOODEN ICONS, Ethiopia
Ethiopia has been a Christian nation since the 4th century. These wooden
icons are hand-carved and hand-painted with scenes from the gospels. Numbers
2, 3 and 4 have stone inlay. Numbers 2, 3, 4 and 5 have paintings on two
sides, numbers 1 and 6 on one side.
