EWE, FETISHES, Ghana
The Ewe fetishes, which acquire power through consecration and the addition of special substances, serve to protect their owners from misfortune, disease or evil spirits.
Despite their appearance, most of these fetishes show little evidence of age or use and were probably made to be sold.
