FON
Staff 216
39.5" high x 11" wide
$600
SOLD

This piece has been vetted as authentic, showing signs of use and age.

Staffs made of iron and brass were displayed in royal compounds to affirm kingly power. Usually depicting a king with related motifs, they were called "Asen" and commemorated past rulers. There is one solid cast seated figure, but not original to this staff. Seventeen of the hanging ornaments are missing.

The stand is included.
