This Kuba drum has been vetted as being authentic with signs of significant age and use.
The small face near the bottom was added later.The snakeskin head on this drum is intact with some small holes near the edge, but not really playable. It has probably been replaced many times. Note the wear on the sides, much of the base is broken off. The drum stands on its own, but might benefit from a custom base for more stability.
