LOBI, Hairpins, Burkina Faso

The Lobi, better known for their wood figures, heads and stools and terracotta vessels, make some objects from iron. These small hairpins exhibit the technical skill and artistry that Lobi blacksmiths bring to their work. These hairpins were probably made to be sold. They are mounted individually and can be rearranged; the price is for the group of five.
