This mask has been vetted as authentic, dating from the first half of the 20th Century.
This mask was vetted by Daniel Mato, author (with Charles Miller III) of Sande, masks and statues from Liberia and Sierra-Leone.
This old mask with a browner tone than most has some wood loss and stable cracks on top of the hairdo and on the back of the neck. The interior has been darkened but there is some loss of that as well.
