NDACKA (NDAAKA) MASK 7, 9-20", $250 , Dem. Rep. Congo

The NDACKA (or NDAAKA) people of northwest Zaire use masks representing ancestor spirits in elaborate initiation ceremonies. The measurements are the height of the mask, then the height of the mask plus raffia. This mask, no. 7, has an obvious crack (repaired) down the middle. All are wired for hanging. No. 9 includes a custom mounting on a black wood base.
