SENUFO, MASKS, Ivory Coast
These refined face masks represent women, are danced by men, and are usually associated with the Poro association. Called "Beautiful Lady" masks, they come with many variations, with rich and complex symbolism. Despite their appearance, these masks show little evidence of age or use and were probably made to be sold.
