Yaka posts Fetishes were commemorative rather than architectural supports. Although 14 and 62 appear complete we do not know if the others were placed in the ground and later cut off, or made as we see them, short post-like figures. None show the decay expected with contact with the ground. Only No. 62 has been vetted as authentic, with evidence of age and use.
