YORUBA
Crown 28
20" high (crown) 41" high (with veil) x 10.5" wide
$700
SOLD

Despite the quality of workmanship and the interesting and complex form, we believe that this crown was made to be sold. The color is more accurate in the photos with black backgrounds. The others are a little too warm in color.

The inside is lined with part of a Yoruba dark red ashoke textile. This crown uses unusual cylindrical beads on the flat parts of the faces and hats, the normail round beads elsewhere.

The bird on the top of the crown has an extension that inserts into a hole on the top of the crown. It is removable. The crown was photographed on a simple, sectional black base as shown in the installation picture. It can be purchased for $25.
