YORUBA BEADED CROWN 57, NIGERIA
Photographs © Tim Hamill
11" high x 11.5" wide
The unusual style of this crown is obviously derived from British royal crowns. There are two predominantly white sides and one rede. Despite the quality of workmanship and the interesting form, we believe that this crown was made to be sold.
The inside is lined with part of a tan striped Yoruba ashoke textile.
