YORUBA, DANCE RATTLE 10, 7.5", $60, Nigeria
In addition to a large and varied collection of iron currencies, gongs, bells and Osanyin healing staffs, the Yoruba also have cast figures and staffs. This dance rattle was forged and still has its metal rattles inside. It was probably fastened to a staff originally.
