This stool appears to be authentic, but with few signs of use. There is a bad crack, or cracks, on the reverse side (see last picture) that were repaired and painted to match the wood color from above the detailed texture of the wing up to the seat. There is a slight warp to the base so there is a bumber on one corner to make the stool sit flat and stable.
The height of the stool refers to the low and high points of the seat. Note that almost all of Asante crescent shaped seats pitch down in front somewhat (see end views).
