This design is of a turtle facing a rifle.

There is a bad crack on the reverse side that was repaired. The base has an obvious crack which shows from underneath and in the detail of the gun. A similar break on the opposite corner has caused the loss of the corner edge (second detail). All the cracks are now stable.  There is a nicely made small metal repair on the top edge (middle left side on top view).

The height of the stool refers to the low and high points of the seat. Note that almost all of Asante crescent shaped seats pitch down in front somewhat (see end views).
