BAKONGO STYLE HEAD FETISH 1, Congo

We've never seen another object like this and have no idea what it might have been used for - if indeed it was ever used. Although it is hollowed out in back, it could not have been a mask. While originating from the African continent, this fetish is likely not created by the tribe who invented the design. The tribal attribution indicates the origin of the design, not the object.
