This object has been vetted as authentic with signs of age and use.

The Buyu are neighbors of the Songye. This serene and powerful object has been identified as a large rhythm instrument. There is some wood loss on the left side near the top of both pieces. It was repaired with nailed on pieces of iron (see details from outside and inside below).

It is mounted on a 14" x 9" iron base (included in price) with rods supporting the piece.
