58.5" high x 21" wide x 5" deep
This ladder has been vetted as authentic. It is mounted on a 10" x 10" metal base.
Ladders were used in a Dogon village to climb to the flat roof of a home, which was used for storage, living, and in appropriate weather, for sleeping. The ladders are a simple, abstract, intelligent use of materials.
