DOGON
Object 22
15 " high x 5.5" wide x 3" deep
$200

This Dogon object has been vetted as authentic , with evidence of significant age and use., dating from the 19th Century.

This unusual and obviously damaged object appears to be a liddedoffering bowl or tray, but we welcome knowlegible corrections.

In addition to the numerous types of masks and figures used traditionally in Dogon culture, most of their functional objects and architectural pieces have artistic significance, showing the importance they played in Dogon life.
