Symmetrical blade with copper
Forged iron, wood, copper sheet & staples, iron tape
Early 20th century
18 1/2" high x 3 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" deep
The blade is shiny and looks different depending on the source of light.
"Used for fighting as well as emblems of prestige, these knives could be found in the possession of every adult male among the Saka and their neighbors, the Kota and Kundu (Elsen, De fer et de fierté, 2003; Westerdijk, African Metal Implements, 1984)"
