This mask has been vetted as authentic, dating from the first half of the 20th Century.
This mask was vetted by Daniel Mato, author (with Charles Miller III) of Sande, masks and statues from Liberia and Sierra-Leone.
This old Janiform mask is unusual in its shape and proportions. Some pigment remains on the eyes and neck. There is a repaired, stable crack on one side (see above photograph). The interior has been darkened.
