This mask has been vetted as authentic, dating from the first half of the 20th Century.
This mask was vetted by Daniel Mato, author (with Charles Miller III) of Sande, masks and statues from Liberia and Sierra-Leone.
This elaborate old mask has two flaws. The back figure on the top is broken off and there was a crack down the back that was stapled and patched (see photograph above). The interior has been darkened.
