CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS

We are required BY LAW to fill out US government forms ACCURATELY including the Customs paperwork that accompanies each package. Please do not ask us to falsify the contents, the age or the value of the shipments.

SOLD OBJECTS LEFT ON WEBSITE

We keep objects on our website after they've been sold for educational and research purposes. Although we will remove the price from the object if asked, we will not remove the object itself as there have been too many instances of a Hamill Gallery piece ending up in someone's collection, mounted on an entirely fabricated provenance.)

REFUNDS

Items purchased are fully refundable if returned within one week of purchase. After that time, items may be returned only at our discretion and will be subject to re-stocking fees.

In the case of an item shipped from the gallery, the purchase price (excluding packing and shipping) will be refunded if the object is returned within one week of its delivery date.

LAYAWAY

Layaway requires a 40% deposit...too many cases of people taking things out of circulation and then changing their minds while we've lost the opportunity to sell the object elsewhere in the meantime. Our layaway policy is as follows. Objects may be placed ON HOLD with a deposit of 40% of the price and with monthly payments thereafter.

SALES TAX

The law states that unless you have an ID Number exempting you from Massachusetts State Sales Tax, we are required to add 6.25% to your purchase if we are sending it to an address within Massachusetts.

Please don't ask us to forgo this. (If you do not wish to pay the tax, we can certainly pack and ship your purchase to an out-of-state address - but the charges incurred are usually higher than the Sales Tax would have been.)
