There is some visible damage on the top edge of this pot. It has not been tested by thermoluminescence due to the substantial fee involved. With a round bottom, it sits well on a pvc ring, which is included.
Little is known of the Djenne civilization (ca. 11th - 17th centuries), precursors to the Dogon in Mali.
