LEGA, Posts and Figures, DRC

Despite their appearance we believe these posts and figures were made to be sold.

Lega masks were used in instruction and initiation ceremonies into the five progressive levels of Bwami, the association that Lega men rise through with lifelong learning and deeds. Very little is known about the posts and figures. We do not know how, or if, they were used. Some may not even be Lega.
