YORUBA
Ifa Bag 32
12" wide x 12" high x 1" deep
$200
SOLD

Used to carry divination objects and tools, the bags are worn in public ceremonies by Ifa priestesses as well as being displayed in their homes and shrines. Beads were signs of wealth and status. The decorated front of the bag lifts up to reveal a pouch on the back panel.

This bag was probably made to be sold.  It is in good condition.
