Traditionally, these heavy copper "anklet" forms were recognized and used as currency for rare but major transactions. They have become so popular as decorative objects, especially when displayed alongside contemporary art. that they are now being created especially for the art market.

We believe that most of ours fall into this category.

NOTE: This Mbole is uneven; the height varies from 5.25" - 5.75" (see first picture). The stand on which it is photographed is not included; one like it can be ordered for $50.
