KUBA
DRUM 14
14.5" high x 4.5" wide x 4.5" deep
on 3.5" metal base (included)
$300

Drums are among the most important art forms in Africa, used both as a musical instrument and as a work of sculpture significant in many ceremonial functions, including dance, rituals, story-telling and communication of messages.

This Kuba drum has been vetted as being authentic with signs of use and age. The head on this drum is intact and secure, but not really playable. Four of the pegs have been broken off at the surface, but the head is not loose. There is a chip at the top of the handle (see first detail below).
