*Ndebele Apron 8 was selected by the Fitchburg Museum and was donated to their permanent collection.

This piece is authentic, older, on leather, but has some loss of beads on the edges.

This beaded garment, made by and worn by women, was for ceremonial occasions. It defined one's status, progressing from girlhood to womanhood. The Jocolo, with it's five fingers, was reserved for married women.
