NDEBELE, JOCOLO APRON 13
So. Africa
20 high x 18.5" wide
$800

This piece is authentic, on leather with a canvas backing, but with little use or age. It is in very good condition.

This beaded garment, made by and worn by women, was for ceremonial occasions. It defined one's status, progressing from girlhood to womanhood. The Jocolo, with it's five fingers, was reserved for married women.
